About Machine Condition Signature Analysis Training

Who is Machine Condition Signature Analysis Training for?

Machine Condition Signature Analysis training is for anybody interested in lowering the downtime of their machines. In our course, Shreveport students learn:

Machine Condition Signature Analysis Training Course Overview:

MCSA training describes Machine Condition Signature Analysis - saving Shreveport students money by replacing unplanned failure with preventive maintenance. Machine Condition Signature Analysis (MCSA) is similar to Statistical Process Control. A gage (accelerometer) is used to take a snapshot of a machine's "normal" performance (i.e. record its "signature"). Specifically, signatures are usually collected for each of the machines high-wear components; motors, pumps, etc. Periodic measurements are then taken over time to assess deviation from normal. When deviation reaches a defined threshold, the machine is scheduled for preventive maintenance. As such, Machine Condition Signature Analysis improves operational profitability. It pays for itself in the form of lower total maintenance cost and higher uptime.

Shreveport

Crossroads of the South - Louisiana's Other Side

Excellent choice! Shreveport is the educational, commercial and cultural center of the Ark-La-Tex region, where Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas meet. Shreveport was established after the Red River was made navigable by Captain Henry Miller Shreve. It has been a major player in the United States oil business, but has since transitioned to a gambling-based tourist economy also hosting military installations including Barksdale Air Force Base.

During my Lean Six Sigma training with our Master Black Belt I was able to gain a true understanding of the tools that are required knowledge for an effective continuous improvement program. I have used these tools first hand to implement operational savings worth hundreds of thousands of dollars annually. Additionally, earning my certification has allowed me to expand my knowledge base and to lead others on the path of waste reduction and process improvement.

I had the privilege of working with our Master Black Belt when he spearheaded the Six Sigma transformation within our company. The "do-as-I-do" disciplined style of his direction resonated within our entire organization. This was during a period of escalated growth and the management struggles that often accompany. Through his steady and focused approach, he brought structure to the craziness, garnered buy-in at all levels, and was quickly recognized as the guru. This was several years ago and now as a leader in an unrelated industry, I still find myself looking back on many of the concepts and methods we discussed. You may remember that one great teacher you had when you were in school, or a mentor you still think about today? He is one of those kind of special people who one is fortunate to know.
