About Human Error Prevention Training

Who is Human Error Prevention Training for?

Human Error Prevention is ideal for those responsible for process improvement whether related to safety, quality, or productivity especially if your team is suffering from recurring issues. Pittsburgh students are often executives, managers, supervisors, and quality assurance personnel who want to decrease overall environmental, occupational safety, and quality defects in their operations. In our course, Pittsburgh students learn:

Human Error Prevention Training Course Overview:

Pittsburgh students improve their knowledge of the psychology and physiology contributing to human error. Human Error is a root or proximate cause in 80% of operational incidents and accidents as well as quality defects and escapes. Human operators have an influence over every layer of protection barriers within a system. Organizational and regulatory influences, unsafe supervision, preconditions for unsafe acts, and unsafe acts of operators can line up in a way to defeat all safeguards and allow accidents or quality defects to occur. Human Error Prevention provides tools to address this including insights into why human errors occur through mistakes, slips, lapses, and violations, human performance and limitations, skills, rules, and knowledge-based behavior, tools to make systems and operations more error resistant and error tolerant (checklists, memory aids, hierarchical task analyses, guideword analyses, cognitive workloads, reward utility, etc.), and how to integrate human error prevention strategies into your operations. The Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) is thoroughly discussed as a mishap prevention aid.

Iron City - America's Most Livable City

Excellent choice! Pittsburgh Human Error Prevention Training occurs in western Pennsylvania at the point where the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers combine to form the Ohio River. Its Gilded Age sites including Carnegie Museums of Natural History and Art, plus Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens speak to its history as an industrial center. Make time to visit Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, and Point State Park. Also popular is the city view from Mount Washington especially while riding the Duquesne Incline.

I had an excellent and memorable experience of attending Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt training from a professional trainer, coach and industry expert who was hired by our organization to help with the transformation of company processes. Our Master Black Belt was not only knowledgeable in the subject but also had several years of hands-on experience working on complex projects, solving problems, applying and implementing Lean and Six Sigma techniques. His teaching skills were exceptional making it easy for everyone to clearly understand the concepts. He brought energy and motivation in the workforce and quickly won praise, recognition and respect from management, staff and shop floor employees. His knowledge transfer, coaching, and guidance helped improve several key processes and resulted in significant improvement in company KPIs and customer satisfaction level. I highly recommend him for his remarkable skills, knowledge, passion, and professional approach towards process and business excellence.
