Denver truly a mile above sea level, home to a US mint, and has a capital building adorned with onyx and domed with real gold. The city was founded as a gold rush mining settlement. |
Rail and an overland wagon route supported growth. An opera house and hotels were built. Carnations were cultivated. Various types of manufacturing have flowed through Denver including luggage, automotive belts, furniture polish, and construction products. The city has also grown culturally offering interesting activities for after training. Most popular are Denver Botanic Gardens, Mount Evans, and Denver Union Station.
